Level 2 Award in Heritage Constuction

Heritage Craft Alliance Ltd in partnership with The VAR Initiative have recently gained funding from the Heritage Lottery fund and Heart of Teesdale to deliver the Level 2 Award in Heritage Construction.
This is an intense course which will offer substantial under pinning knowledge of the traditional construction and historic building sector.
This course will offers 8 credits via a nationally accredited award at Level 2. The training will be enhanced by visits to quarries in the region and surveys of local historic sites. The course will prepare people to work in, or simply understand the historic building sector.
The course will be delivered at the Training Centre recently built at Cross Lanes Organic Farm, Barnard Castle, County Durham.
6th - 9th July 2015 and 27th - 30th July 2015
The course is normally priced at £600 per person +VAT.
Fees for this course are waived for those who are eligible:
Students 15 to 21 years are in the key age group
Students over 21 seeking a career in the sector can still be eligible
All participants should live in the North East of England and wish to gain employment in County Durham/ North East of England in the future
All participants should have an interest in a career in heritage construction
There are some small bursaries for accommodation, food and transport costs, where hardship is an issue. Please make individual requests.
